Turkish Policy Center (Washington, DC)

Turkish Policy Center (TPC), a 501-c-3 non-political non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C was launched on the 87th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, 29 October 2010. Our main goals are to enrich the policy debates related to Turkish-American relations; share the important developments in Turkey; bring new perspectives to long-term bilateral issues and focus on areas of potential cooperation.

Vision: We strive for a future where Turkey achieves a well-functioning representative liberal democracy, rule of law, secularism, sustainable economic development, a respectable record of human rights and freedoms and international integration.

Mission: We aim to bring new and objective perspectives, critiques and fact-based analyses about Turkey to U.S. audience and ensure a plurality in policy debates related to Turkey. To complete this objective, we will reach out to the best names and leading voices in the field, use our academic research team’s skills to explore fresh policy alternatives and collaborate with organizations that share our core values and vision for Turkey.

We commission our research projects to well-known academics, analysts and political scientists while granting them full academic freedom.

Target Audience: The US administration, the legislative body (Capitol Hill), Washington’s Foreign Policy circles, including think tanks and rapidly evolving social communication and news sites, policymakers, analysts, academics, and public with interest in developments in Turkey and Turkish-American relations.

Turkish Policy Center, a 501-c-3 non-profit non-political organization, is completely independent. We partner with other organizations on a project-by-project basis only. All the contributions are
